My approach to LGBTQ portrait photography is rooted in listening, consent, and intention. I do not assume gender, roles, family structure, or dynamics. Direction is gentle and adaptable, allowing you to show up as yourself rather than perform for the camera.
How long is an LGBTQ portrait session?
LGBTQ portrait sessions last between one and two hours. This allows time to build comfort, move at your own pace, take breaks if needed, and create images that feel grounded and natural rather than rushed.
What if we feel nervous or unsure how to pose?
You do not need to know how to pose or what to do. Many clients arrive feeling unsure, and that is completely okay. I guide you with prompts and movement designed for authentic LGBTQ portraits, prioritizing comfort, autonomy, and ease.
